Despite the curve balls that may come their way, every child should be given a chance in life, regardless of resources, opportunity, or geography.
That’s why The Wood Family Foundation prides itself as an advocate for Chicago area children, providing support not just on a one-time basis but through long-term relationships with kids and their communities,
ensuring the consistency and the emotional structure they need to succeed.
Our program efforts are focused in four Chicago neighborhoods, Austin, Lawndale, Humboldt Park, and Englewood.
Our programs currently include;
a free summer baseball clinic at Englewood’s Ogden Park, Warm Wishes, a holiday program in which we adopt a school and provide each student with a new winter coat and toy(s), and our recently established scholarship fund in partnership with the UIC Honors College that covers 4 years of tuition and housing.
